FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We utilize a balanced training method that addresses all 4 quadrants of operant conditioning. Our training approach is built around clear communication. We start every dog with reward-based training to teach and build understanding, and once the dog fully knows what’s expected, we introduce accountability to create reliable, real-world results. This allows dogs to not only learn—but to truly understand and confidently follow through in any environment.
Yes—our training is designed to produce reliable, lasting results. However, it’s important to understand that dog training is not a one-time event—it’s an ongoing relationship between you and your dog. Dogs are not robots. They have the ability to make choices, and long-term success depends on how consistently those behaviors are reinforced once your dog returns home. We guarantee that your dog will learn the behaviors and skills taught during training. Just as importantly, we make sure you understand how to maintain and reinforce that training moving forward. When owners stay consistent and follow through, the results absolutely last. To support that, all of our programs include lifetime follow-up support. Whether you need a refresher session, guidance in a new environment, or just have questions along the way, we’re always here for you via phone, text, or in-person sessions. Our goal isn’t just to train your dog—it’s to give you the tools and support needed to maintain those results for life.
Your dog will stay at your trainer’s home for the entirety of the board and train. Depending on your program option, your dog will be taken out for distraction sessions with your trainer. All dogs will sleep in separate kennels and will be monitored at all times, when not working hands-on with your trainer.
The earlier, the better! It is better to prevent unwanted habits from forming as your dog ages. We do require that puppies have all their vaccinations, which is usually completed by 16 weeks. With that said, we can train dogs of all ages! We have trained dogs even up to 12 years old and have found great success. No matter the age, we are ready to help you!
Absolutely not! Your dog will come home with the same personality you know and love—just with clearer structure, better manners, and the ability to understand what’s expected of them. Training doesn’t take away your dog’s personality—it actually allows it to shine. By creating clear communication and consistent expectations, we help eliminate confusion and unwanted behaviors, which often leads to a more confident, relaxed, and enjoyable dog. You’ll still have the same dog—just one who listens, responds, and can successfully navigate the world around them.
We know being away from your dog can be tough, which is why we make it a priority to keep you updated every step of the way. You’ll receive two progress update videos each week so you can see your dog’s training in real time and watch their transformation as it happens. These updates give you a clear picture of what your dog is learning and how they’re progressing. In addition, you’ll have direct access to your trainer throughout the entire training process. Whether you want an extra update, photos, or just peace of mind, we’re always available by phone, text, or email
